Not only can we see the cause of the blockage, but can find the location, depth and degree of the damage or blockage in the pipes, therefore determining if they need to be repaired or replaced. CCTV Pipe Inspection

Simply clearing a blocked drain or storm water pipe does not reveal the cause of the blockage. A high-pressure water blast or electric eel will only remove the obstruction but can’t ensure that the problem won’t recur. Our CCTV plumbing inspections will give a full solution.

CCTV drain camera leak detection system means no more guesswork or unnecessary digging to locate your blocked drains. We can even record colour images of your drain pipe or sewer straight to a memory card and DVD.

How do we carry out plumbing inspections?

To carry out a drain inspection using this specialised plumbing tool, the blockage must first be cleared, and then the CCTV plumbing camera is sent down the line. This enables the plumber to view the inside of your drain find the cause of your blockage.

CCTV drain inspections

Once performed, the CCTV sewer inspection will show the section of pipe that needs to be repaired or replaced. A common example of blockages we see are caused by tree roots; these will be cleared by an electric eel or high-pressure water blaster, but that will only give a ‘band-aid’ solution. Our CCTV drain inspections will allow us to locate and identify the cause, then repair or replace the damaged pipe and suggest removal of the offending tree. The camera can sometimes act as a tool to help remove other debris that’s been flushed and remained in the pipes, that could cause future blockages.

Plumbing inspections and prevention

We also offer a further service to perform drain cleaning, prevention of blockages and maintenance.
