Electrical safety after water damage
It is essential that you do not reinstate your power with a generator or your solar PV system until your home has been completely checked by a licenced electrician . We recommend that until your appliances and home have been inspected that you do not operate any electrical appliances.
After complete testing and your home is deemed electrically safe our master electricians will issue the relevant certification to be forwarded to your electricity provider for reconnection to go ahead.
Solar power systems
Even if your home power has been restored by your electricity provider after a storm or flood the solar power system should be tested to ensure it has not sustained damage which is not evident on visual inspection before it is turned back on.
Electrical safety inspection
