When should you install an RCD?

An RCD (Residual Current Device) or Safety Switch is an essential part of our homes and workplaces but where and when should they be installed?

RCD’s save lives and prevent injury every day by detecting slight imbalances in electrical current. These occur when there is an electrical fault in an appliance, switch or wiring that affects the power, the RCD then disengages the power supply in under 30 milliseconds.
