TV aerial installation

Having a new antenna installation carried out will mean:

New TV antennas installations usually need to be carried out as antennas spend their entire life sitting on top of your roof in either the baking sun or pouring rain. This causes the antenna to become brittle and break (particularly the connections) in turn these faults may cause problems with your reception or stop your TV antenna from working correctly.

Digital TV antennas

Old school analogue TV was completely switched off in Australia a decade ago. Now that digital TV and streaming services are our main viewing choices, your antenna and cables may need upgrading too.

Digital TV is transmitted on higher frequencies that a digital antenna can receive and interpret. Digital antennas are able to convert these signals digitally, which your digital TV then encodes. The difference from old analogue signals though, is that if your digital antenna isn’t receiving a strong transmission, then you will have no connection at all and ergo no TV to watch, as opposed to the ‘snow effect’ we used to get from analogue antennas.
