Electrical product recall – Portable Heater – Electric Blower

The following products have been recalled due to a risk of fire, burns and electric shock. If you own or have recently purchased the Ozito Portable Electric Blower or a Heller or Sunair Portable Room Heater stop using the appliance immediately and return it to your place of purchase for a full refund.

Ozito Portable Electric Blower
This handheld electric leaf blower poses a risk of electric shock to users. The safety fault has been identified as – ‘The impeller can break during operation and may damage the outer enclosure of the blower, exposing live parts.’ (Worksafe QLD).

The electric blowers with model number OZBL-1800WA were sold through Bunnings Warehouse during the periods of February 2009 to December 2012, and January 2013 to March 2015. If you own one of these blowers contact Ozito for a replacement or refund.

Recalled units carry the following batch numbers – check for the number on the label near the air intake vent.

• 0901A, 0901C, 0903E, 0905C, 0906D, 0907D, 0908D
• 1003, 1008, 1009, 1010, 1011, 1012
• 1102, 1103, 1104, 1105, 1107, 1108, 1109, 1111, 1112
• 1202, 1204, 1205, 1206, 1207, 1208, 1209, 1211, 1212

Heller and Sunair Portable Electric Fan Heater
The recall applies to both Heller and Sunair branded room heaters. If you own one of these heaters discontinue use, unplug from the wall socket and contact your place of purchase for a refund. The heaters were found to carry flammability risks from loose internal wiring which can make contact with moving parts posing a risk of burns and fire.

The 1000 W to 2000 W fan heaters carry the following model numbers:

Sunair branded

• SFH06
• SFH15
• SFH20
• SFH20A
